Costa Brava  

A land of contrasts is what inspired this piece. The technological craft tradition versus modernity. The steel tube is the predominant part of the trophy. His apparent coldness, Costa Brava displays a pioneer in many areas, in contrast to the warmth of craftsmanship. The maritime tradition of knotting networks manually before setting out to fish is what inspires the network border at the bottom. These contrasts are found also represented at the top of the piece. Architecture and geography appear as skyline through the Illes Medes, Cap de Creus, the Canigou massif Montgrí and St. Pere de Rodes.
